Marissa Kelemen ’18, Chair
Hello! My name is Marissa Kelemen and I'm a junior studio-art major from Richmond, Vermont. I plan to enter the Peace Corps once I graduate from SMC! I am particularly interested in organizations that work to help relieve hunger, fight for social causes of women, and organizations that are geared towards helping “at-risk” youth.
Joan Wagner ’93 M’99, Advisor
I have had the privilege of advising students on the FIWF committee since its inception. I love how the process engages students to not only learn about and reflect upon important social issues, but also to appreciate the ways organizations in our very own local community are responding to those issues in thoughtful ways. I am proud of our students’ legacy of philanthropic giving over the past seven years, which, in many cases, has led to new or mutually-reinforcing relationships between the College and nonprofits in our community.
Katherine Hackett ’11, Advisor
Hey there! I graduated from Saint Michael’s College in 2011, and now work on campus in the Office of Admission. As a student, I helped bring Fix It With Five to life at SMC and I am excited to support the cause as an advisor. This program has come a long way, all because of sincere dedication toward systemic change. We help others help themselves, and that is a beautiful thing.

I'm a sophomore English major, with a minor in religious studies. This is my first year on Fix it with Five, and I'm really excited about it. At school, I'm involved with Residence Life, Ultimate Frisbee, Active Minds, the Founders Society and Campus Ministry. Causes about which I'm most passionate are ones to do with orphanages and adoption agencies and general quality of life of youths. I was adopted from a poor town in Romania when I was eighteen months old, so anything that has to do with ensuring that children grow up in happy, stable households is near and dear to my heart.
